In Bevagna every year there’s an event, la festa delle Gaite, a remembrance in which
medieval workshops are nestled in squares and alleys of extraordinary authenticity.

Silvestri Square, is definitely the most symbolic location of the city, where the ideal is to taste
a glass of Sagrantino wine.

Bevagna is, indeed, located in the Sagrantino area, together with the city of Montefalco, and
in the countrysides there are many winemakers in which you can sample an enormous
variety of wines.

Visit Spello

Spello is a small town, foothills of Mount Subasio, surrounded by the umbrian countryside
and olive groves, near Assisi.

Things to see in Spello

Its curvy alleys enriched by hunging flowers everywhere remember of the magnificent Spello
Infiorata which makes the city really popular in Umbria.
The Church of Santa Maria Maggiore, with its Cappella Baglioni, decorated with the artist
Pinturicchio’s frescos, paved with Deruta majolicas, and other frescos by the Perugino.

Spello has one of the most preserved medieval city walls, in which you can visit many
ancient entrances to the old city.

The Church of Sant’Andrea, built in 200 a.D, also decorated with Pinturicchio and Dono
Doni’s frescos.

Other possible things to visit in Spello are the Town Museum, where you can see paintings,
sculptures and frescos and gold works.
Walking in the numerous city alleys, you might bump into Cappella Tega, decorated with fifteenth-century frescos.
In locality Sant’Anna, nearby the city walls, a roman monumental with 500 meters mosaic
pavements has been discovered, in the 2000s.

Visit Spoleto

Spoleto, a city became famous for “Festival dei due Mondi”, has probably one of the most
beautiful old cities of the entire Umbria region.

Things to see in Spoleto

Observing Spoleto, the Rocca Albornoziana prevails imposing the city, but the attention is
captured also by Ponte delle Torri, a magnificent architectural work originated probably by a
roman aqueduct.

230 meters high, ten arches, and a small fortitude on the side of the bridge facing the city:
the Fortilizio dei Mulini

Spoleto’s city centre is full of many other things to visit, starting from the Duomo, Maria
Assunta Cathedral. The church trilogy: San Salvatore, San Pietro and San Ponziano, and
the roman house of Vespaia Polli, underneath the town hall.

Visit Gubbio

An extraordinary medieval village, one of the most famous umbrian cities, mostly know for the Festa dei Ceri.

Things to see in Gubbio

As many other umbrian cities it is the totality of alleys, squares and palaces that makes Gubbio an incredible destination to visit.

The complex consisting of Palazzo dei Consoli, Palazzo Pretorio and Piazza Grande is maybe the most characteristic and loved location of the city.

The roman amphitheater, located further down than the old town, with its capacity of 6000 people, is one of the most important remains of the roman presence in the ancient village of Iguvium

Other possible destinations you would love to see in Gubbio are Palazzo Ducale, Palazzo del Bargello, the Matti Fountain, the Duomo, San Francesco Church and the Sant’Ubaldo Cathedral, which is reachable using a funicular railway which stops on Monte Ingino.

Visit Assisi

Assisi is the spiritual capital not only of Umbria, birthplace of Saint Francis, patron saint of
Italy. In its locations, prosperous of spirituality and Giotto and Cimabye’s art works you will
breathe a magical atmosphere.

Things to see in Assisi

The Upper Cathedral of San Francesco, entrusted forever to the Franciscan friars and in
which are kept the remains of the saint from 1230 a.D.
Included in the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Decorated with Cimabue, Cavallini, Giotto, Martini and Lorenzetti’s frescos.

In a small distance there is the church of Santa Chiara, built with a Gothic style such as the
Upper Cathedral.
It also contains numerous remains and important artistic and architectural elements.

Visit Perugia

Perugia is the Regional County Seat of Umbria, a city full of history and things to see and
visit, especially in the old city centre.

Things to see in Perugia

Umbria National Gallery, a national museum in Palazzo dei Priori.
It contains the majority of umbrian art works and some of the most significative art works of
Central Italy, from 13th to 19th century.

In front of Palazzo dei Priori, it is located the Fontana Maggiore: a masterpiece of medieval
sculpture, situated in the centre of IV Novembre Square, it is the symbol monument of the
entire city of Perugia.

At the other side of the square you will see the Perugia Cathedral, also known as San
Lorenzo Cathedral, built in 1345 a.D.

Other possible things to see in Perugia are the Rocca Paolina, the Umbrian National
Archeological Museum, San Pietro Abbey, Palazzo della Penna Museum and the Church of
San Michele Arcangelo.
